We had a pretty quiet valentine's day. I went to the grocery store to pick up some supplies for dinner when I spotted the overpriced v-day roses. The shot was so strange and cliché. On the right and below are my shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate I made a few days ago.

I made cookies tonight. I will feeling PMSy. Usually my baking gets messed up when I feel this way. It's strange. The hearts were all off a little and lumpy, but still tasted good. Especially, after I dipped the shortbreads in chocolate.

It was a heat wave here today in new england. I think it got up to 50 degrees. we went to beach and watched the sunset and the full moon rise.

It's really hard to take a photo of yourself chopping ice in your driveway. This is the best I could do.

I made these last night. As I was packing them up to share with my friends at my favorite coffee shop I took a few photos. I posted the recipe on my blog if any one is interested in trying them. Super yum.

I was enamored with these grocery store flowers I bought for greg's birthday. The dark background is actually my brown sofa.

Today was greg's birthday. I made a homemade yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. It was perfect.

Today domino closed. I was outside playing in the snow and drinking lattes when my inbox was filling with e-mails.

I love putting things in rows. Today the tangerines were my subjects.
p.s. I was actually doing this while I waited for greg to yell up to me from the basement. He was working on our frozen pipes and I had to turn the water off and on.

I love anything lined up in a row. I waited in the pluming aisle at home depot for a good hour this afternoon while I waited for my boyfriend to pick out supplies. Needless to say I spent a lot of time looking at these colored coded boxes below. The above shot are building supplies I shot while walking around the store trying to amuse myself while I waited.

I spent Saturday morning at the library. I was enamored with these pink music books all lined up in a row. When I went to find a reading spot I spotted this shadow from a windsor chair.

I have a romantic fascination with laundromats. Something about strangers cleaning their underwear together in a room full of symmetry. The shot to the right is someone else's clothes. My laundry was boring darks and grays.

I woke up at 5:30 am because our pipes had frozen and I thought I could hear them bursting. The noise turned out to a be a revving car engine. Since I was wide I awake I braved the below zero temperatures to grabbed these gorgeous sunrise shots over the Atlantic ocean. I was trying to play with the proportions of the sky and water. As if the planes were stripes in a painting.

When I first stated this new blog I thought I would take a photo every morning and evening. I realized that wouldn't be so realistic for me to do everyday for the rest of the year. Here are two shots that I took when I was still on that theme. To the left is shot of me at the grocery store. The coffee cup holders on the cart crack me up! On the right, is a boiling pot of water for my morning coffee.

I took these two shots in the morning. On the left a bed that needed to be made and on the right dishes that needed to be done.

Snowy shoes from the window of my favorite coffee shop and a winter tree at sunset. I love these two grouped together.

One of my favorite beaches in my new town. I love it even more in the winter. Frozen seaweed to the right is just magical. The photos together feel off but I like the push/pull of the combo.
